The Big Issue

This independent organisation develops and operates social enterprises and creative, sustainable solutions to homelessness; providing opportunities for homeless and marginalised people to positively change their lives. Help support this cause through volunteering in a Big Issue project.

Project 1

We require a small team of people to deliver the Big Issue magazine to waiting rooms in and around the city. The team would be responsible for sourcing the waiting rooms, which could be medical, general office spaces, and so forth. Volunteers would then be required to deliver a few magazines to each address on one day per fortnight. We estimate that this would require a team of four people to each work 3 hours per fortnight.

Project 2

We require a team of people to hand out promotional leaflets in the city once a month. This would involve being at the Perth railway station, the Esplanade bus depot and the Esplanade train station from around 7am to 9am. A team of two or three people is required for this project.

For more information about volunteering in either of the projects, contact Jim Petrie, State Manager WA at:  D: (08) 9228 4522 | M: 0438519030| E: jpetrie@bigissue.org.au | W: www.bigissue.org.au
